To help you create the masterpiece you deserve, keep in mind the following things.

The designers have a large variety of amazing photos to choose from. They choose the absolute best to showcase the cards they design. You can use these photos as a model for the type of photo that you should take of your little one/s for your card.
Keep in mind the color of the font and where it will appear over your photo. Light colored fonts look best over darker areas of a photo and visa versa.
With many designs, after clicking the "Personalize" button, at the bottom of the box that appears, is a "Customize Further" link. You can click that to enter the design tool and change font types, colors, add text of your own... you can basically change almost every aspect of the design. If you don't have experience in using a design tool, see below for more advice.
If you are having trouble there are easy ways to get help at Zazzle. The actual card designer can be contacted through Zazzle's Chat system. This is a messaging system, not live help. Send the designer a message and wait for them to get back to you. Most help with little to no charge.
Another way you can get help is through Zazzle Live. Zazzle has designers on hand that can help you make the card perfect. This service does cost you extra. The price will vary depending on how much work you want them to do.
Zazzle also allows you Collaborate with other people by sending them an email from inside the design tool. So if you have a family member or friend that can design, you can allow them to help you create the perfect card.
